My professional journey began over 30 years ago at Target HQ as an inventory business analyst, where I developed a holistic understanding of merchandising and inventory planning. This foundational experience shaped my career and helped me build an extensive toolkit that combines strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and a customer-first mindset. At Target, I honed my skills as a merchant, understanding how decisions at the buying level influence the broader business. This expertise became invaluable as I joined Amazon, where I played a pivotal role in launching the toy category—the company’s first expansion beyond music, movies, and books. From there, I advanced my career with roles at Nordstrom.com and Eddie Bauer, each adding depth to my knowledge of retail and e-commerce. Returning to Target for a 13-year tenure, I led businesses with annual revenues ranging from $270M to $600M. I championed Target’s transition to an omni-channel strategy, driving growth in apparel and accessories while reimagining the customer experience across digital and brick-and-mortar platforms. Notable achievements included launching the family holiday sleepwear category, which generated $16M in its first year, and securing the #1 market share position for swimwear through strategic innovation. Most recently, as CEO of Kindred Bravely, I’ve brought my full expertise to bear, transforming a bootstrapped business into a Private Equity-backed company. During my tenure, I grew revenue nearly 5x and EBITDA 8.5x and expanded from DTC to omni-channel by partnering with Target on an exclusive brand that drove $4.7M in first-year retail revenue. Through innovative partnerships. I spearheaded the launch of a co-branded bra in over 1,800 Target stores and positioned the company to achieve $10M in new business in the durable medical equipment sector.
